Olay-Niacinamide-Serum-Review

Olay Niacinamide Serum Review : Niacinamide is a very popular ingredient and almost all of us are either applying it or use it at least once. If you still haven’t tried niacinamide, find out the best niacinamide serum here. This Olay serum contains 5% niacinamide which is gentle, effective and suitable for beginners and sensitive skin. In my opinion, it is an underrated niacinamide serum having such a great formulation. Gladly, I received this amazing product in PR and it became my favourite niacinamide. If you are also looking for a niacinamide serum, do checkout this one too.

Product Description And Claims

Olay Niacinamide Serum helps correct dark spots, gives pearl like radiance, and provides a healthy glow. This lightweight serum penetrates 10 layers deep into your skin to give clearer and more even skin from Day one. Olay’s bioavailable Niacinamide fights the 7 signs of uneven skin – acne marks, dullness, enlarged pores, rough skin, dryness, uneven skin, dark spots.

Features
  • Contain 99% pure niacinamide.
  • Non greasy formula that gets absorbed quickly.
  • Lightweight texture.
  • Suitable for dry and dull skin.
  • Free from sulphates, parabens, phthalates, petroleum and mineral oil.

Packaging

It comes in a shimmery glass bottle along with a metallic dropper dispenser attached on top. Though, it looks quite beautiful and luxurious, the packaging is not so travel friendly due to the heavy glass bottle. And there are chances that it can break if not handled properly. However, it acquires very little space so you can carry it in a padded pouch. Furthermore, the dropper does not work properly, as sometimes it is unable to take out the serum.

To get the product information you can check its outer cardboard box. All details are mentioned there.

Fragrance

Olay niacinamide serum does have an extremely mild floral smell which is not at all strong. Hence, it will not irritate the sensitive nose and you don’t need to worry about it.

Olay Niacinamide Serum Review And My Experience

Olay niacinamide serum has a milky appearance and texture is quite smooth. It is a creamy serum that absorbs quicker than gel and water based serums. On the skin surface it spreads easily and gets absorbed without leaving any greasy or sticky feel. Plus, it doesn’t make my skin look dewy rather it leaves a soft hydrated satin finish which I really like. The serum actually feels quite comforting over my facial skin because it neither makes skin dry not contribute extra oil. Therefore, it will be suitable for most of the skin types including sensitive skin. However, people with extremely oily skin (especially during the humid climate) can avoid this.

I have been using it for two months alternatively with retinol and unlike other niacinamide serum, it does not trigger sensitive skin. Although if applied over damaged skin, it can cause irritation and increase skin redness. Until now my facial skin is not reacted to any of the ingredients it has. Currently I am also using barrier repair serum and cream to prevent sensitivity caused due to retinol. I apply this serum during both – AM and PM skin care routine but sometimes I skip this and apply retinol serum. This does not feel very heavy either so it’s very easy to layer during dry climate.

Results

This Olay niacinamide light perfecting serum claims to brighten skin and I have definitely felt a difference in the way my skin looks and feels. This serum not only adds a radiance to my skin but also reduces dullness and makes skin brighter than before.

Vitamin C can also brighten the skin but it can also react to sensitive skin. In case you are also facing such problem you can give it a try. It is gentle but it may not work as faster as vitamin C. It’s a great serum to add in your routine if you are facing dullness and uneven skin tone. Moreover, it also claims to reduce the look of dark spots and gradually it does, but I am also using an another spot correcting cream over my acne spots. So, I can’t give all the credit to this serum.
