Plum Niacinamide Sunscreen Review SPF 50

I received this Plum Niacinamide Sunscreen in PR but there’s already several reviews about this. So, I was confused if I should review this or not. Despite all of these distractions, I decided to review because they sent me for the review only. This is going to be my 100% honest review. My skin type is normal to dry therefore, I will review from that perspective. The sunscreen has niacinamide and rice water that brightens skin and reduces blemishes. Both are the effective ingredients but I don’t expect a lot from sunscreen except the sun protection. Here’s my honest Plum Niacinamide Sunscreen Review.

Plum Niacinamide Sunscreen Review And My Experience:

Texture And Appearance – Plum sunscreen appears pretty much as a moisturizer. It is very balance and not very thick in consistency. Plus, the texture is soft that glides easily.

Appearance

Even though it glides easily over my skin, it consumes some time while blending. I have tried this sunscreen with several moisturizer and for me it went well over a thick moisturizer (etude house honey propolis cream). On the other hand, with some moisturizer it leave a slight patchiness on eyebrow and hairline area. I mostly prefer applying it on top of etude house moisturizer. However, I finish it up applying over my neck.

Plum niacinamide sunscreen does not feel oily or greasy but slight stickiness can be noticed for sometime. It does not make me look dewy. Hence a good sunscreen for combination and oily skin type but not recommended for extremely oily skin. Gel based sunscreens are good option if you have very oily skin.

Moreover, when it comes to white cast it does give me a slight tone up effect that will fit over fair skin tone. With oil infused moisturizer it looked perfect as white cast subsides a bit. While, the tone up effect looks more prominent when applied over gel-cream based moisturizer. I would not recommend this sunscreen to deeper skin tone. People having fair skin can still use this affordable sunscreen to protect and to achieve a glowing even tone finish everyday.

It gives no dry or tight feeling and no pimple or bumps to my skin. Also it does not pill. I have used it regularly on my neck and it definitely even toned my skin but it makes a modest change when it comes to skin brightening.

Overall it’s an average product for me. And I have mixed thoughts about this sunscreen because sometimes it fits well giving me an even finish and at times it gives patchy residues which looks weird.

Suitability:

It will suit normal, combination and slightly oily skin having fair skin tone because it gives a tone up effect that wouldn’t fit deeper complexion.
