Chemist At Play Acne Control Serum Review

Chemist At Play Acne Control Serum Review: Today’s post will be about Chemist At Play Acne Control Serum Review. In my previous post, I have shared that I was suffering from damaged skin barrier. During the healing process I stopped using all the actives and did not use any scrub or chemical exfoliator for several months. In result, my skin’s moisture barrier got healed. But I started getting pimples one by one below cheek area. I’m in my early 20s and never suffered from acne in the past.

I was literally so confused what to do to get rid of them. Then, I search on the website about acne products and this serum caught my attention. Because it has 10% niacinamide + 10% azelaic acid. At that time, I was looking for a niacinamide serum too. So I purchased this and it worth buying. Now let’s move ahead to chemist at play serum review.

Chemist At Play Acne Control Serum Review And My Experience

Chemist at play acne control serum is colorless, transparent, runny liquid. It glides effortlessly over skin and also gets absorbed without taking much time. Texture is not very greasy or oily.
I use this serum twice, morning and night after cleansing my face. My skin type is pretty normal and the serum does not leave any oily, greasy or sticky residue behind. Neither it feels tight or matte. The formula is pretty balanced which can be adaptable for most of the skin types including normal, combination and oily skin. It is lightweight and does not feel like I’m applying a layer on my skin.

Moreover, people with slightly dry skin can also take its advantage in combination with a good hydrating moisturizer. Because I do felt that it has little oil absorbing nature. And it is important too because excessive oiliness is one of the major cause of acne and pimples. My skin was little oily than usual at that time. Although, I got acne after damaged skin barrier recovery. This also may be due to my hair follicles get clogged with oil and dead skin cells. Because I didn’t use any exfoliator or exfoliating serum for several months.

Appearance

Initially I was a bit scared to use it as this contain powerful combination of 10% azelaic acid and 10% niacinamide. I had this redness over my cheeks that takes several months to heal. And I was scared if I apply this serum, the redness would back again. So, I did a patch test and fortunately haven’t seen any reaction. Hence, I continued using this serum. I would highly suggest doing a patch test because this formula can be overpowering for some people.

After using it religiously for about a month I honestly noticed a change in my skin. I stop getting new pimples and also it reduce the size of ongoing pimples/acne. It has been more than two months now and acne is almost completely cleared. My skin is now smooth because this also removes bumps that I had over my nose and forehead. Additionally, I was following double cleansing routine that also helps in reducing tiny bumps.
It was my first experience with chemist at play and I really loved it. Although, everyone’s skin is different so it may not work the same for you as it worked for me.
Moreover, during this period I also notice reduction in dark spots that was caused by acne. But there are still some spots left.
Furthermore, chemist at play acne control serum contain high concentration of active ingredients. Therefore I recommend using moisturizer that can also repair your skin’s moisture barrier. Personally, I use bioderma atoderm cream that keeps my skin barrier healthy.
Apart from this, ingredients are quite appealing. Despite of niacinamide and azelaic acid, it also contain hyaluronic acid and ceramide. Hyaluronic acid hydrate skin whereas ceramide boost skin barrier function.

Overall I highly recommend this serum to people who are suffering from pimple, acne or bumps. It is also available in smaller pack. The serum fights acne, pimples and even I would say it removes them. I’m quite happy with the results.
