In the past year I have tried several lip lightening balms including this one. I actually bought this a few months ago but I could not use it for too long. Recently, I decided to try it again because I ran out of all the previous lip lightening balms that I had. I finished them about two months back and I was using either sebamed SPF 30 lip balm or Vaseline petroleum jelly. So, it was the high time to test out its brightening properties. Fragrance:
This lip balm has typical bubble gum fragrance which is medium strong. It stays for a minute but doesn’t irritate my nose.

Texture And Appearance:
Biotique brightening lip balm is thick in consistency and cherry red in color. Yes, it is slightly tinted and it adds a natural color to the lips.
Feeling And Application:
After applying, I can feel I have put something over my lips, it’s not lightweight but not too heavy either. Additionally, being a waxy formulation it also gives a very slight feeling of stickiness initially. However, it doesn’t make my lip feel uncomfortable in any way.
Biotique lip balm is easy to use as it spreads very easily and dries up without leaving any prominent shine on the lips.
Moisture And Hydration:
It moisturizes my lips quite well. I did not experience feeling of dehydration after applying. It just sits on the lips and keep it moisturized for several hours. In case, you have any dehydration or if it is extremely dry then, you’ll need frequent re-application.
Tint:
Biotique fruit brightening lip balm is a tinted lip balm and it gives a very natural kind of tint. It’s a good lip balm for those who does not want to use any lipstick or lip tint every day and still want their lives to look little improved. However, the tint may not emerge well over deeper skin tones.
Does It Lighten Lips?
