Fragrance

Having ‘fragrance free’ tag is the biggest plus point of this sunscreen because they have formulated this for sensitive skin. Fragrance can increase irritation and redness in sensitive-damaged skin. It’s better to avoid fragrance filled skin care products when your skin barrier is sensitive or damaged.

Dot & key Hydrate Barrier Repair Sunscreen SPF 50 PA++++ Review And My Experience

When I first squeeze it out on my hands, I notice it has a bit of a thick formula compared to other variants of dot and key sunscreens. It’s not runny in consistency like dot and key vitamin C sunscreen. Still I was surprised how light weight yet hydrating it was. It fits perfectly over my face along with a hydrating serum. I am currently using Missha Time Revolution Night Repair Ampoule. A lot of sunscreen does not get along with Missha Time Revolution Ampoule but this sunscreen just work like a magic together (for dry skin). My skin type is normal to dry and currently I don’t have any dryness issue. So I skip moisturizer and it does the job of both moisturizer and sunscreen keeping my skin hydrated throughout the day. In case your skin is extremely dry don’t skip the moisturizer.

Appearance

At times I have experienced pilling issue with vitamin C sunscreen but this product never give me such problems. I’m really impressed. Moreover, dot and key barrier repair sunscreen is non-greasy, does not look very oily or dewy rather it feels like I have applied a hydrating moisturizer on face. Since it contains ceramides and hyaluronic acid, you will notice a slightly sticky-hydrated kind of feeling while touching your face.

Swatch

The sunscreen is very easy to apply like a moisturizer and it leaves zero white cast and patchy residue. Furthermore, in case you are wondering if it will suit your sensitive skin or not, I would say it is a must try sunscreen for dry and sensitive skin types. I have applied it over irritated skin and noticed it does not trigger my skin at all. Plus, it never caused bumps, pimples, acne or any sort of reaction.

Protection

At home I apply a thin layer of sunscreen, whereas I put two layers of this sunscreen while I am going out and it protects my skin well. When you are out in the sun for a long span of time or whole day don’t forget re-application. Otherwise, it can cause some tanning.

Suitability

Dot & key Hydrate Barrier Repair Sunscreen is suitable for normal to dry and sensitive skin. Besides, combo skin can also use this during winter.

Highly recommend this to dry and sensitive skin types.
