The Derma Co 20% Vitamin C Serum Review

The Derma Co Vitamin C Serum Review: In this post, I will share The Derma Co 20% Vitamin C Serum Review. I have been enjoying the derma co serum a lot this winter. Besides, Vitamin C this serum also contains ferulic acid and hyaluronic acid. I keep using different vitamin C serums because they make my skin glowing and help reduce appearance of dark spots. Vitamin C serum are quite helpful for skin rejuvenation as well. Although, all vitamin C serum are not same as they work differently and contain different ingredients. Even some of them does not work properly because Vitamin C is highly unstable.

The derma co 20% vitamin C serum contain 3-o ethyl ascorbic acid which is a stable form of Vitamin C derivative used in topical skin care products. It is slightly expensive as well so you do not need to know whether it works or not before buying. So let’s move ahead to the review.

Packaging

It comes in a glass bottle with dropper attached on top. For serums, I prefer glass bottle but would be better if it is dark. Besides it has dropper which is hygienic and convenient to use. Apart from that, it has an outer cardboard box that contains complete details regarding product. Overall, packaging is good and can be carry while travelling.

Fragrance

It has a medicinal kind of smell which is not pleasant at all. But it isn’t bad either. Also, there is a hint of floral scent in it which is mild. Therefore, it does not cause headache.

The Derma Co Vitamin C Serum Review And My Experience

The serum is slightly pale and gluey in texture. Initially it feels like oil-in-serum but it is actually hyaluronic Acid which adds a gluey and oily kind of feel to it. It glides quite easily over my face but takes time to absorb. Also, it leaves a sticky but hydrating feel of hyaluronic acid behind that takes several minutes to sink completely into the skin. Personally I don’t hate the sticky feel rather my skin enjoys it a lot in winter.

Appearance

It is quite hydrating as well as moisturizing and keeps my skin hydrated throughout the day. Moreover, my skin felt very soft supple and plump after using this. My skin is dry in winter and this serum turned out as a savior to me. The derma co vitamin C serum  is good for dry to normal skin type. Also it is a good choice for winter due to its hydrating properties. In summer, it gives oily, sticky feel which is unable to absorb by my skin. However, I don’t face any of these problem now in winter.

Furthermore, I would not recommend it to oily skin people because it is already sticky in texture that can be troublesome to oily skin. Apart from this, it is not that light weighted. So it’s better to use this only at night. But for dry skin it does not feel heavy.

The derma co vitamin C serum contain 20% vitamin C and it makes skin radiant and glowing as claimed. Not only this  but also improve skin’s texture and give healthy appearance when use regularly. I have been using it since more than a month and it help lighten dark spots as well. When combined with arbutin serum it works even more faster. The results are quite satisfactory to me. But I don’t like it has fragrance/perfume as an ingredient.

I include this in my night time skin care routine and avoid layering so many products over it. Using just a moisturizer along with this is enough. Although, it does not give me breakouts or irritation but it may irritate extremely sensitive or damage skin.
