I have heard a lot about Matrix opti care range but my budget was little low so I opted for this matrix biolage Smoothproof smoothing shampoo. It has been a long time since I’m using this and here is my detailed review.

Packaging

It comes in white plastic bottle with yellow flip open cap. Bottle is slim and easy to fit in bag but it is slightly heavy. Therefore, some may not like to travel with this. However, if you are going to travel for a long journey with your whole family then you can definitely carry this. Furthermore, this bottle carries all the product related details on back of the bottle.

Fragrance

It has mild floral smell that stays on for few hours. My hair smells very nice for several hours. But the fragrance is not overpowering or cause any headache.

Matrix Biolage Smoothproof Shampoo Review And My Experience

Matrix Biolage Smoothproof Shampoo is white colored, slightly runny consistency with viscous texture. It spreads nicely without much effort over wet hair but on dry hair, it is difficult to apply. Apart from this, it forms enough lather to cleanse all the dirt, oil, grime from hair and scalp. Whereas, over heavily oiled hair you will need little extra amount of shampoo to cleanse oil completely from hair.

Moreover, it does not leave any residue behind and get rinsed without taking much time. My previous shampoo was little dry on my hair, specially after washing hair even after using hair oil. But thankfully with shampoo, I didn’t face dryness issue a lot. Undoubtedly, my hair feels better than before ever since I have started using this.

I do not use this shampoo more than twice in a week because overuse can also dry out hair and cause hair fall. Post wash, my hair feels fresh, smooth and soft. This shampoo does not rip moisture from hair. Furthermore, I have been using it since several months (seven months) now and it does not cause hair fall or breakage.

Contain fragrance and SLS (Sodium Laureth Sulfate).

Overall I absolutely like Matrix Biolage Smoothproof Shampoo for the price it comes. It lathers well and cleanse all the oil, dirt and sebum making my hair soft and clean. Moreover, it is paraben free and can be used by both men and women. How it has SLS which I don’t like at all.
