Today I’m going to review Mamaearth Mineral Based Sunscreen. I have already reviewed few of their products. This product from Mamaearth is free from all the toxic chemicals and suitable for babies under 5 years. But I bought this for myself as I really want to try something which is completely toxin free and found this one. Since it is safe to use, I think it can used by anyone but might not be very effective for adults. So, to know more about the product keep on reading.

Product Description
Hi! I am mamaearth’s sunscreen. Your baby wants to explore the big wide world out there. Sunburns and damaged skin will do no good. I am SPF 20+ especially formulated to be non irritant and ideal for baby’s sensitive skin. I am non greasy, non allergenic and can be used anywhere on the body where sun is going to shine.
Packaging
Mamaearth Mineral Based Sunscreen comes packed in a white bottle with pump attached on top which is secured with a green cap. The nozzle is quite good and dispense just the right amount of product for single use. The bottle contains all the details regarding the product. It is travel friendly as you can carry it easily while traveling. Overall I’m happy with the packaging, it is hygienic and convenient to use.
Fragrance
It smells kind of weird that I can’t explain but the product is free from artificial fragrance which is a plus point. However, the fragrance isn’t strong and stays for a very short period of time after application.
My Experience
This white colored mineral based sunscreen has smooth texture with medium consistency that spreads easily over the skin. It is fast absorbing so you have to be very quick while blending. Also it takes time to blends in properly and might look patchy if no blended properly. I found this lotion little dry for my facial skin and my skin feels slightly stretchy as well. So, if you are using this on your baby’s skin don’t forget to use a baby lotion or moisturizer beneath her/his skin. The formula is completely non-oily and non-greasy and tends to mattify the skin. It is gentle and non-irritating makes it suitable for baby’s delicate skin or anyone who have sensitive skin.
Since it gives stretch feel to my facial skin, I use it on my hands and legs to finish it up. The sunscreen has SPF 20+ and contains zinc oxide as sunscreen agent which we all know very effective and safe. It is enough to protect baby’s delicate skin but if you want to use it for yourself, I would recommend to use this while you are at home.
Overall it is a good sunscreen for babies, provides enough protection but need to use a good moisturizer beneath.
