After reviewing ubtan face mask and sunscreen from Mamaearth, now I’m going to review the mamaearth charcoal face wash. I bought this along with the mamaearth ubtan face wash and recently started using this. This face wash is infused with the goodness of charcoal that helps in detoxifying the skin.

Packaging
Mamaearth charcoal face wash comes in an opaque plastic tube with flip open cap. It looks cute but simple. The product information is given on back of the tube. Overall packaging is simple, sleek and can be carried in hand bags without having any heavy feel, hence travel friendly as well.

Fragrance is kind of weird maybe due to the presence of natural ingredients. It is mild so won’t trouble sensitive noses.
My Experience
The face wash has gel formulation with medium consistency. The color of the face wash is black but once massaged over face it turns into a greyish foam and charcoal particles does not stuck anywhere on the face. It lathers pretty well and does not leave any residue behind. It takes off dirt, impurities, extra oil and makeup residue. My skin felt very clean, clear and smooth after using this.
It claims to suitable for oily skin, still it did not leave my skin feeling dry. However, this face wash is not recommended for dry skin to use in winter but dry skinned people can definitely use this in humid weather. Also the face wash is quite gentle, non-irritating and never caused any breakouts to me.
Overall I’m really happy with mamaearth charcoal face wash, it cleanses skin very well without drying it out. Also free from toxic chemicals.
