Laneige Water Bank Hydro Essence Review

Laneige Water Bank Hydro Essence Review: My today’s post will be about Laneige Water Bank Hydro Essence Review. This is a hydrating essence and each and every skin type needs hydration weather it is oily/combination or dry. I got this small pack which I have been using since two weeks now. The brand claims to have mild formula that can suit sensitive skin too. Particularly, I don’t have sensitive skin but my does gets irritated and sensitive sometimes. I have tried it over both, normal and sensitive skin as well and here is my thoughts about Laneige Water Bank Hydro Essence.

Fragrance

It has a sweet floral smell which is not irritating or overpowering. I find quite pleasant and soothing. Also, after application it does not stay for long period of time.

Laneige Water Bank Hydro Essence Review And My Experience

Laneige hydro essence looks more like a milky serum or lotion. It is white and turns watery when I spread over my face. The essence got blended without much effort and gets absorbed within few seconds. When I put it as first step after cleansing, it leaves matte finish. Whereas, this gives slight sheen effect when layered over toner and serum. Moreover, it sits brilliantly over skin surface leaving a soft feeling and one can use it beneath makeup as it does not peel off.

Appearance

However, the hydration is not long-lasting for my normal/dry skin type. Personally, I feel the essence is more suitable for oily/combination skin rather than dry/normal skin type. Because, it is quite light, non-greasy and non-sticky. Besides, it may give little bit of shine to oily skin but does not contribute oiliness. Though, the hydration it provide is adequate for combination/oily skin.

In my opinion, it is just a basic product that only hydrates skin. But the formulation is unique which hydrates oily/combination skin without being heavy, greasy or sticky. Except from hydration, I didn’t see any change or improvement in my skin. Furthermore, as for the sensitive skin, this essence is really and does not cause any rash, irritation or bumps. However, it does not help with healing process.

PROS

  • Mild fragrance
  • Blends easily
  • Does not add oil to skin
  • Non-greasy and non-sticky formula
  • Hydrates skin
  • Suitable for oily, combination skin
  • Light weight
  • No irritation

CONS

  • Expensive

  • Not hydrating enough for dry skin type

Overall Rating: 3.9 / 5

Overall Laneige Water Bank Hydro Essence is an average product for me because it’s hydration is not enough and long lasting for my skin. But it’s a great light weight hydrator for oily and combination skin. No sticky or greasy feel. Also, it feels fresh so you can use this during the day as well.
