I got to know about this sunscreen through a YouTube video and I was pretty attracted toward its luxurious packaging. I’m a huge sunscreen hoarder, so trying each and every sunscreen is all I want. Also, the price point is a bit high for the quantity, so I waited for the sale and luckily I got it at huge discount. The bottle looks quite luxurious and it is made of plastic therefore, it would not feel heavy when you carry it in your bag. Plus, it does not acquire a lot of space that makes it a travel friendly product. The bottle has a pump that dispenses sunscreen in a very controlled amount and it also comes covered with transparent cap. Overall, packaging is perfect and you can check all its detail on the outer cardboard box.
Fragrance
It does have a very mild scent that resembles the smell of ‘Fevicol’ and it makes me very uncomfortable. However, this product is fragrance free and the noticeable scent comes from the ingredients it has.
Dermafique Soleil Defense All Matte SPF 50 Sunscreen Review And My Experience
Dermafique Soleil Defense sunscreen has a very nice lotion like texture but when I massage it over my face it feels slightly gluey. Sunscreen took a lot of time in blending and settling down, still leaves little patchiness around my eyebrows, hairline and corner of my nose. No doubt, it also gives slight white cast but on my face it looks more like a tone up effect. It leaves a semi-matte finish that does not feel tight or stretched after a few hours which I have experienced with silicone-based matte sunscreen. This is my favourite thing about this product. Otherwise, the formula feels uncomfortable to wear.
Besides, it also trigger skin inflammation caused due to acne. The sunscreen will not suit compromised/ sensitive skin barrier as I have experienced irritation when my skin was weak. Although, it does not cause redness over a healed and healthy skin barrier.
I like it’s matte formula because it sits over my skin without giving dry or tight feel. I couldn’t use it on my face for long but I finished it using over my neck because it fits perfectly there.
