Matrix Biolage Smoothproof Pack Review | PROS | CONS

Today I will be sharing Matrix Biolage Smoothproof Pack Review. I have tried hair mask and shampoo from this range and both of them worked well on my hair. I notice this hair pack while re-ordering my Matrix biolage shampoo and bought the combo of hair pack and shampoo. It claims to tame frizz, flyaways, and split ends making your hair instantly smooth and manageable. Let’s see how much it lives up to the claims.

Fragrance

This hair pack smells really good and the fragrance is moderate. It has a floral smell that does not cause headache to me. Furthermore, it does stay for some time after washing like most of the conditioners and masks.

Matrix Biolage Smoothproof Pack Review And My Experience

Biolage Smoothproof Pack has a thick and smooth buttery texture that spread easily over damp hair. Also, it is easy to wash because it does not take a lot of time in getting rinsed. Hair pack leaves my hair smelling so good that keeps lingering throughout the day. I use this hair pack as a conditioner after washing my hair with matrix shampoo. I keep this over my hair lengths for 2 to 3 minutes and wash it off with normal water. The hair pack does make my hair smooth and reduces hair frizz a bit. However, I did not notice extra shine to my hair after using the hair pack. It does not give any miraculous results but I definitely felt it is better than commercial conditioners.

Apart from this, I prefer homemade hair masks to reduce frizzy, rough and signs of damaged hair because they nourish hair and work better than readymade masks. Although, sometimes we don’t have time and accessibility (while traveling) to apply a homemade mask, so one can easily use these hair masks/packs for instant results.

For me, this is an okay product as it made my hair soft, smooth and slightly straighter. I have naturally straight hair that sometimes becomes a little curly at the ends. But ever since I started using the hair pack, it definitely looks more straight. Furthermore, it does not reverse or improve hair damage caused due to coloring, heating, or any hair treatments.

PROS

  • Inexpensive!
  • Travel friendly.
  • Paraben-free.
  • Smells good.
  • Make hair soft, smooth and straighter.
  • Easy to rinse.

CONS

  • Doesn’t add shine to my hair.
  • Not enough for damaged hair.
