Bioderma Atoderm Intensive Baume Review : Today’s post will be about one of my favourite product and it is Bioderma Atoderm Intensive Baume. Found this moisturizer after trying out Bioderma Atoderm Ultra Hydrating Creme. I love both moisturizers. This baume should be applied when your skin barrier is damaged, whereas Bioderma Atoderm Ultra Hydrating Creme can be applied everyday. Both moisturizers are suitable for normal, dry, extremely dry and sensitive skin types. I bought this product when my skin’s barrier was damaged but thankfully this moisturizer came to rescue my skin. It is one of those product that I’ve repurchased and I’m quite happy to see how it worked on my skin.

Bioderma Atoderm Intensive Baume Review And My Experience
Since it’s a baume (balm), it falls on the thick cream category. Despite of being thick, it glides very smoothly and get absorbed without taking much time. The moisturizer fits somewhere middle, it doesn’t look too matte or too shiny. I noticed it looks less shiny as compared to the Bioderma Atoderm Ultra Hydrating Creme. It is little heavy, but once gets absorbed completely, it does not feel greasy. To my dry skin, it provides enough moisture, however I sometimes use Bioderma Atoderm Creme to get ample hydration and I wake up with soft and supple skin.
When applied to dry, damaged skin it feels soothing and is completely non-irritating which is safe to use over sensitive skin barrier. This baume addresses skin concern like redness, inflammation, cracked, tight and dry skin caused because of damaged skin barrier. Within two weeks of application, it healed my skin barrier. Although, it can also take longer especially when your skin is in very bad condition.
With regular use, it makes my skin felt less irritated and less inflamed. Besides, I cut off all the actives from my skincare routine and it does give better and faster results. Because skincare actives like retinol, vitamin C, AHA, BHA can make your barrier even more sensitive.
Apart from this, sometimes I also use it after applying tretinoin and it fits perfectly. If you have dry skin and you’re looking for a moisturizer to use with retinol/tretinoin, go ahead and buy this cream because it will also keep your skin barrier healed. Moreover, I don’t use it every single day, rather I use it on and off when my skin feels sensitized, irritated and sometimes along with retinol. I also prefer using this after chemical exfoliation to prevent further damage and skin sensitivity. The best thing about this is, it works faster than other ceramide creams.
Furthermore, there is also a downside, this heavy cream can cause minor bumps when used with heavy oils or when layered over so many different products. So, you should avoid doing this.
Who should use it?
Anyone suffering from dry-irritated, damaged, sensitive skin barrier can use it. Also, you can use it when you’re using tretinoin, retinol, AHA, BHA or any ingredient that makes your skin sensitive.
Who should avoid it?
I personally felt, it should be avoided during summer and humid climate. Anyone having combination and oily-acne prone skin should also avoid this cream.
