Dot And Key Vitamin C Serum And Face Wash Review

Dot And Key Vitamin C Serum And Face Wash Review: Vitamin C is one of the best anti-aging skin care ingredients. Whether you consume it or apply topically on your skin, this ingredient will give you anti aging benefits. Added to that, it is great for skin brightening. In India, vitamin C infused skin care products are easily available but an affordable L-ascorbic acid serum is rare. I found this when I was looking for a high potency vitamin C serum and it’s affordable so I purchased it. On the other hand, I got this amazing face wash free from Nykaa.

I loved the face wash more than the serum.

Dot And Key Vitamin C + E Super Bright Gel Face Wash Review

Product Description And Claims

A sulphate free face wash infused with Triple Vitamin C, Sicilian Blood Orange, Niacinamide & Vitamin E.

Reduces dullness, fades dark spots & de-tans for visibly even toned skin. It also unclogs pores of dirt & excess oil, leaving it clean and fresh.

It is suitable for all skin types because it doesn’t dry out the skin.

Packaging

The face wash comes in an opaque tube with screw cap which is easy to use and travel friendly.

Fragrance

It contains fragrance, still I’m okay with it because I like everything about this.

My Experience With Dot And Key Vitamin C Face Wash

The clear gel is medium thick and foam up easily. It’s neither too jelly nor runny in consistency, it’s perfect as a face wash as it spreads easily.

These days I prefer using gentle face wash in the morning, so I use it only at night time.

Considering the price and quantity it works really well, it cleansed the skin and boosts skin radiance (de tan the skin). It takes 3-4 weeks to show results and you will notice that your face looks bright and radiant compared to your neck and hand. Because I did experience the same thing.

The face wash is able to remove non water resistant sunscreens, leftover makeup residue, dirt and sweat. I feel it works well with both oil cleanser and micellar water.

I highly recommend this product from Dot And Key as it doesn’t make my skin extra dry, sensitive or give any breakouts. I have zero issue with this. Loved it.

PROS
  • Inexpensive
  • Lathers well
  • Cleanses the skin perfectly
  • It’s not too drying
  • De-tan the skin
  • Good for summers
CONS
  • Not suitable for sensitive-damaged skin.

Dot And Key Vitamin C L-ascorbic Acid Serum Review

Product Description And Claims

A super potent 20% Vitamin C serum freshly made by you, to effectively fight photodamage, hyperpigmentation and signs of aging for firmer, brighter even-toned skin. L-Ascorbic Acid is the most biologically active i.e. most effective for your skin.

Packaging

This product comes in two separate bottles- the one is the serum and the activator and you have to pour the activator into the serum to create your fresh vitamin C serum. It’s a really good initiative as vitamin C is quite unstable and tends to lose its potency pretty quickly. Both bottles come packed inside a cardboard box that holds all the product details.

Fragrance

The serum is formulated without additional fragrances which is again a plus point.

My Experience With Dot And Key Vitamin C L-ascorbic Acid Serum

Appearance- It appears as a clear liquid but starts oxidizing and changing its color after 1.5 months of opening the serum. So, its better to use it every single day and finish it as soon as you can.

The serum is undoubtedly sticky in nature and it will not suit oily and combination skin.

Being a dry-normal skin person, I feel it is sticky but I tolerated it only because it’s an affordable L-ascorbic Acid serum. However, I prefer using it only at night with a moisturizer. I use it with Emolene cream and they both fit perfectly together.

Besides, it may not suit very sensitive or damaged skin as it triggers the skin redness. If you have skin inflammation issues, avoid this serum.

I have used it for a month and notice that it does increase the radiance and glow of the skin but doesn’t do much for dark spots. It’s an average product for me and I will never ever repurchase it.

PROS
  • Affordable L-ascorbic serum available. in the market.
  • Increase skin radiance.
CONS
  • Sticky formula
  • Not suitable for for sensitive skin.
  • Not for oily and combination skin.
