Today I will be sharing Mamaearth aloe turmeric gel review. Along with aloe this gel contains turmeric which has anti bacterial and anti inflammatory properties.
I like using natural aloe vera as face mask but sometimes I also use readymade aloe vera gel to make DIYs and treat rashes. It can be used in so many different ways like moisturizer, DIY serum, face mask, for hair and body. Since majority of Mamaearth products works well on my skin, I bought this Aloe Vera Gel with high hopes and here is my experience with the product.
Price: INR 249 for 150gm
Shelf life: 2 years
Product Description
Mamaearth Aloe Turmeric Gel combines the goodness of Vitamin E in a multipurpose product. This is 100% Pure Aloe Vera derived from aloe plant, it deeply hydrates skin and hair. Moreover it soothes sunburnt skin, calms rashes, heals wounds, and reduces irritation.
Packaging
It comes in a semi transparent tube with flip open cap which is quick and hygienic to use. The tube is slightly bulky so most of you may not find it travel friendly. Personally I don’t like to carry it anywhere due to its size. I wish it also comes in smaller pack of 50ml for travelling purpose. Apart from that, tube contains all the product related details.
Fragrance
Mamaearth aloe vera gel have no noticeable smell because the product is free of artificial fragrance.
Mamaearth Aloe Turmeric Gel Review And My Experience
Mamaearth aloe vera gel is yellow colored due to the presence of turmeric extracts in it. The gel has medium consistency, non sticky texture and turns slightly watery when you massage but not as much as Korean ones. This aloevera gel is thin and less sticky than patanjali aloe vera gel but thicker than than Korean aloe vera gel (the face shop, innisfree, it’s skin). If you like Korean aloe vera gel, then you may not like this product a lot.
I mainly bought this to make DIY face serum but it feels slightly thick like I have applied a sleeping mask on my face. I really don’t like using serum made of this aloe vera gel. So, I tried it as spot treatment for my rashes (which I got once in a while) but this is a complete fail for me. Rather than soothing my skin, this gel triggers my skin and cause slight irritation. Therefore, I would not call it a soothing gel. Furthermore, this gel does not do anything for me, I have finished it up using on my body.
Moreover, I have not tried this on my hair so I can’t say whether it is good for hair or not. Personally, I feel aloe vera gel makes hair a little dry so it’s better to avoid using readymade aloe vera on hair.
Overall I don’t like this aloe vera gel a lot. If you are looking for a harmful chemical free aloe vera gel for your body you can go for this without any hesitation. Since this aloe vera gel irritates my facial skin, it does not mean that it will not suit your skin too.
