Biotique Sandalwood Sunscreen Cream SPF 50 Review

Today I’ll be sharing Biotique Sandalwood Sunscreen Cream SPF 50 Review. Biotique Sandalwood range is my favourite from biotique, not because of the sun protection but due to its moisturizing properties. I personally don’t trust the protection factor. Because biotique doesn’t disclose their product’s complete ingredient list. So, I’ll be reviewing it as a moisturizer. I have used a lot of their products in the past and this sandalwood and morning nectar lotion is something I like. Before I go on, let’s check the product info first.

Product Description And Claims

Biotique Sandalwood Sunscreen Face Cream is nutrient rich cream that also protect skin with SPF 50 UVA/UVB. It is formulated with sandalwood, wheatgerm, saffron, honey and Arjun bark that keep skin soft and moisturized.

How To Use

Apply this cream liberally before sun exposure. Reapply after swimming or perspiring activities.

Packaging

Biotique Sandalwood cream comes inside a sturdy tub along with an orange cap and a lid inside to protect any leakage. Although, the cream is quite thick that would not leak at all. Moreover, there is an outer cardboard box too which contain all the product related details. This cream is travel friendly because it has plastic tub rather than glass one that can easily break while travelling.

Fragrance

It has a herbal smell which I like and this smell also calms my mind. However, it is slightly strong that can bother sensitive nose. After application it stays for sometime.

Biotique Sandalwood Sunscreen Cream SPF 50 Review And My Experience

Biotique Sandalwood Sunscreen Cream SPF 50 has little fluffy texture and medium thick creamy consistency. It glides easily but kinda sits on the skin leaving a shiny finish. Definitely not ideal for oily and combination skin type. From my experience I felt most of the biotique moisturizers are suitable to dry skin type. Whereas their toners and face washes are suitable for oily and combination skin. Additionally, I use this cream only in winter because this cause little bit of sweating during summer. My skin type is normal to extremely dry, which changes according to weather. The cream takes time to absorb which I don’t like. However, it performs well when my skin turns dry because I don’t need reapplication in order to keep my skin moisturized all day. Its moisturization last really long.

Moreover, when the weather is gloomy I don’t put any additional sunscreen on top of it. Because this cream is not very lightweight and also adding a sunscreen gives a very weird look to my face. Like I have applied so many layers on the skin. After cleansing, I just apply a serum and this cream.

11 Best Mineral Based Sunscreen In India

Apart from this, biotique sandalwood cream is non-greasy but little sticky and oily in nature. In case you are looking for an oil based cream you can go for this.

So, why you should buy this cream?

If you have dry skin type, you can use it during winter when you don’t have to go out and the weather is gloomy too. This moisturizing sunscreen will work fine for indoors during gloomy winter. Although, I don’t think it provides enough protection. But I assume it is enough for extremely cold days. As claimed, Biotique Sandalwood Sunscreen Cream keep skin soft and moisturized. Furthermore, this can be use as hand and foot cream too.
